What actually ends 50K accounts

Intraday trailing drawdown breaches on open P&L. The Combine floor follows your highest unrealized equity in real time — a green spike that retraces can breach you even if you never closed a loss. This is the #1 algo-trader blow-up on Topstep.
The DLL isn't a violation — but it stops your day. Hit −$1,000 and Topstep auto-liquidates and locks you until 5pm CT. Not a fail, but a wasted day and a forced flat mid-position.
One big day can void a payout. If a single day is ≥50% of your cumulative profit, you can't pass/withdraw until you balance it out. Use the calculator below.

Don't track this in your head

AlgoProven models the exact Topstep math — intraday trailing, DLL, consistency — and shows your live distance-to-breach as your bot trades, then locks the pass before you can give it back.
